  • Inspection Risks: Avoid heavy or bulk shipments to reduce the likelihood of customs inspections.

9. Why Combine Delivery?

Combining delivery of multiple items can save significantly on shipping costs and ensure professional packaging. Here's how:

Example:

Shipping via GD-EMS to the U.S.

  • Cost Breakdown:
    • First 500g: $25
    • Each additional 500g: $8
    • Handling fee: $2 per parcel

You have 3 parcels weighing 600g, 1500g, and 2000g respectively:

1. Separate Shipments:

  • Parcel 1: $25 (first weight) + $8 (additional weight) + $2 = $35
  • Parcel 2: $25 + $24 (3 additional weights) + $2 = $51
  • Parcel 3: $25 + $40 (5 additional weights) + $2 = $67
  • Total Cost: $35 + $51 + $67 = $153

2. Combined Shipping:

  • Total Weight: 600g + 1500g + 2000g = 4100g
  • Shipping Cost: $25 (first weight) + $64 (8 additional weights) + $2 = $91

Savings:

Separate Shipping: $153

Combined Shipping: $91

Savings: $153 - $91 = $62
